A step towards sustainable food systems
11/2024 The Food Innovation Forum 2024, which took place on November 13 and 14 in the ballroom of the Vetmeduni Vienna, was an outstanding event that focused on the future of the food industry. Under the motto “Towards Sustainable Food Systems”, the two-day congress provided a platform for the exchange of the latest scientific findings and innovative approaches in the field of food production and safety.
Leading experts shared their findings and presented their research results. The inspiring talks provided participants with valuable insights and stimulated an intensive exchange about the future of the food industry. Discussions around ethical issues such as food waste and sustainable meat consumption as well as the impact of climate change on food safety were particularly intense.
In addition to the presentations, participants were also able to visit innovative exhibitions showcasing the latest technologies and products in the food industry. The exhibitions offered the opportunity to experience the innovations at first hand and find out about the latest developments. The focus was particularly on strategies to reduce the use of antibiotics and pesticides as well as the impact of digitalization on the industry.
